Wi-Fi 6E and tri-band performance
The TP-Link Deco XE75 system operates on the Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) standard, extending connectivity with the exclusive 6GHz band. This band functions as a clean and fast channel, free from interference from older devices. OFDMA and 2×2 MU-MIMO technologies increase the efficiency of data transmission to multiple devices simultaneously, reducing latency and optimising network performance. Six data streams and four internal antennas with beamforming direct the signal straight to connected clients.
Intelligent mesh coverage
AI-Driven Mesh technology actively learns the network environment and automatically optimises the Wi-Fi connection for each device. It creates a unified network with a single name (SSID) and password, which supports a seamless transition between individual units without signal drop-outs. The system intelligently chooses the route for data transfers and, in the event of one unit failing, automatically redirects traffic through the others. The system serves up to 200 connected devices and can be fully expanded with additional Deco units. Units can also be connected via an Ethernet backhaul cable, freeing up wireless capacity.
Advanced security with HomeShield
Network protection is handled by the TP-Link HomeShield toolkit, which includes advanced security features. Wireless communication encryption supports WPA-Personal, WPA2-Personal, and WPA3-Personal standards. To separate visitors from the main network, you can set up a guest network, which can be created for each frequency band separately. HomeShield actively blocks malicious websites, protects IoT devices from unauthorised access with a real-time scanner, and includes systems for preventing network intrusion or DDoS attacks. It also includes advanced parental controls.
WiFi system connectivity
Each Deco XE75 unit has three gigabit Ethernet ports that automatically detect whether they are functioning as WAN or LAN. This flexibility simplifies connecting the system to your internet connection and other wired devices. The system operates in router or access point (AP) mode. The ports also support Ethernet backhaul for connecting units with a cable, which further increases the stability and speed of the mesh network. For remote access and secure connections, the device supports both VPN server and client functions (OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP/IPSec).
