The Kodak EC35 Vanilla White + Ultramax 24EXP film camera captures images on standard 35mm film. You load the film manually by opening the back cover and advance to the next frame with the manual winder after each exposure. Once you've finished the roll, you rewind the film back into the canister. The camera offers simple point-and-shoot operation, so there's no need to manually set the exposure. Its lightweight ABS construction makes it easy to carry in your pocket. The built-in flash, powered by a single AA alkaline battery, illuminates the scene in low light. A 25mm fixed-focus optical element captures a wide angle of view, which is ideal for landscapes and snapshots.
The camera uses a two-element lens with a fixed focal length of 25mm and a fixed aperture of f/10. The two-element acrylic optical lens transfers the captured image directly onto the film's sensitive layer. The fixed focus works from 1m to infinity and requires no focusing before pressing the shutter. The mechanical shutter has a fixed speed of 1/100s for normal daylight conditions.
When shooting indoors or in dim light, the built-in flash, which needs to be activated manually, comes in handy. The light source requires a single AA alkaline battery, which is not included in the package. The front of the body features a sliding cover that protects the optics from scratches and dirt. Sliding this cover to the side readies the camera for shooting. The body, made from durable ABS plastic, withstands normal wear and tear.
