The LaCie d2 combines the Thunderbolt 2 and USB 3.0 interface for the best speeds when connecting to any newer PC or Mac. Dual Thunderbolt 2 allows you to connect up to 5 LaCie d2 repositories and one 4K screen, offering great expansion capabilities for convenient high-speed data streaming.

Advanced cooling system
The all-aluminium unibody cover effectively dissipates heat from individual components, and the integrated damping base expands the surface of the cover to provide greater heat removal. The result is a long service life and vibration-free ultra-quiet operation.
External hybrid storage
Install the optional LaCie d2 SSD Upgrade (sold separately) and your device reaches up to 5 times the data rate of 1,150MB/s to overcome the performance of internal SSDs on your PC or Mac. Simply remove the LaCie d2 rear panel, install the upgrade, and get 128GB on the SSD storage.
Automatic backup
LaCie has packaged several applications for tracking discs, preventing unauthorised access, and providing easy back up for your data.
Password protection
LaCie Private-Public, with support for 256-bit encryption, ensures that your files are completely confidential.
Energy saving
