The external hard drive combines the Thunderbolt 2 and USB 3.0 interfaces for the best speeds when connecting to any newer PC or Mac. The dual Thunderbolt 2 port allows you to connect up to 5 LaCie d2 drives and one 4K screen, offering great possibilities for convenient high-bandwidth work.

Advanced Cooling System
The all-aluminium unibody cover effectively dissipates heat from individual components and the integrated damping base expands the surface of the cover to provide more heat removal. The result is a long service life and ultra-quiet operation without vibrations.
External Hybrid Storage
Install the optional LaCie d2 SSD Upgrade (sold separately), and your device will reach up to 5 times higher data transfer rate of 1150MB/sec. This is better than internal SSDs on your PC or Mac. Simply remove the LaCie d2 rear panel, install the upgrade, and get 128GB in SSD storage.
Automatic Backup
The device is equipped with several features for tracking drives, preventing unauthorised access, and easy backup of your data.
