Breakthrough ThunderBolt 2 technology with a bandwidth of up to 20 Gb/s ensures maximum performance and incredible data transfer rates of up to 1330 MB per second while reading and 1,060 MB per second when writing. This is ideal for editing and viewing RAW 4K videos, as well as other intensive processes.
RAID for speed and security
LaCie 5big offers RAID modes 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD. RAID hardware drivers provide consistent performance, greater flexibility, and the ability to connect the device to a PC while maintaining a RAID configuration. The LaCie RAID Manager application makes managing RAID modes to suit your needs easy.
Connect up to 36 devices
Thunderbolt 2 can link up to six devices via a single cable. You can connect up to 36 LaCie 5GB drives through six Thunderbolt 2 ports to give you 1GB (1,080TB) of storage and write speeds greater than 3,000MB/s.
