The Levenhuk Rainbow 50L Plus is a modern microscope with a wide magnification range. It is attractive not only due to its colourful design but also because of the durable metal body designed for frequent and ergonomic manipulation. User comfort is further ensured with a 45-degrees inclined monocular head which makes for the best observation position and prevents tiredness. The head rotates through 360 degrees, so it's perfect for group work too. Beginners will be delighted with the LevenhukK50c Experiment Kit, which contains everything needed to get you started in the world of microscopic observations. This microscope is produced in several colour variants.
The material used to make Levenhuk microscope lenses ensures crystal clear images. The high-quality optical glass is highly transparent and does not distort the result of observation. Their special anti-reflective coating increases the proportion of light that gets through to ensure a sharp and clear image.
The microscope has three lenses with magnifications of 4×, 10× and 40×. The 40x zoom lens is equipped with a spring-loaded mechanism that prevents damage to the lens if it accidentally comes in to contact with the slide. There is also a Barlow lens that will double the magnification of any lens you use. This gives you the capability of up to 800 times magnification!
The upper and lower LED illumination system allows you to choose the optimal amount of light for each sample. Use lower illumination to observe transparent samples such as plant cell structures and upper illumination for opaque objects such as paper fibre and coins. Semi-transparent objects are best viewed using both the upper and lower LEDs. The brightness is fully adjustable, so you can find the right balance of light for every unique sample. The lighting can be powered using the supplied mains adaptor but if you want to take your microscope on a field trip, you can use 3 x AA batteries.
The kit that comes with the microscope includes everything you need for your first independent observations. You can get straight to work and examine all five samples. Is it a hatchery for frogs? Have a closer look at their eggs and examine the flask of yeast. Do you know what sea salt does? The kit comes with a user manual to help guide you through your first footsteps and give you recommendations to get you conducting your very own observations..
