A stranger on the beach

A luxury beach house, one woman between two men… and a murder

Caroline Stark has a stunning new beach house, perfect for hosting lavish parties and family holidays. But her husband is a liar and her entire life is currently upside down. When an unknown man named Aidan appears as a bartender at a party where Caroline has a public row with her husband, no one thinks anything of it.

Caroline's marriage is collapsing, and the luxurious life she has built for herself is beginning to fall apart. The scorned woman seeks both comfort and revenge in Aidan's arms. But what was a short and desperate affair that meant nothing to her, yet everything to him, suddenly turns into a terrifying, life-threatening nightmare. Who is manipulating whom in this deadly game of passion, morbid obsession, and the struggle for control?

Who will take the blame when a murder is committed? And what secret is Caroline herself hiding…?

Michele Campbell

After studying law at Harvard and Stanford, Michele Campbell worked as a federal prosecutor in New York City, specialising in international organised crime and gang-related cases. After some time, she decided to end her successful career in the global metropolis and moved with her husband and two children to an idyllic university town in New England, which is quite similar to Belle River from her novel It's Always the Husband. She currently teaches criminal and constitutional law and writes books. To date, she has four to her name: It's Always the Husband, A Stranger on the Beach, She Was the Quiet One, and The Wife Who Knew Too Much, with which she has won the hearts of readers on both sides of the Atlantic. She has many good friends, a few enemies, and only one husband who, as far as she knows, has never tried to kill her.

Filip Jančík

He started out as an actor but decided to devote himself fully to voice-over work. That's why we can only see him in a few films or series. As a young actor, he appeared in films such as Záhada hlavolamu (Mystery of the Puzzle) and Vekslák aneb staré zlaté časy (The Money Changer or The Good Old Golden Times). Filip Jančík's voice, on the other hand, is immediately noticeable, for example on the TV station Prima Cool or in an impressive number of Hollywood films and series.

Dagmar Čárová

Dagmar Čárová is known primarily for her voice-over work. She was born in Litoměřice, graduated from the Jan Neruda Grammar School, which has a strong theatre tradition, and then from DAMU. She was then engaged at the E. F. Burian Theatre and has been a freelancer since 1993, dedicating herself almost exclusively to voice-over work. She also occasionally appears in theatre roles. When working in recording studios, she makes use of her knowledge of several foreign languages; she can speak German, Russian, and English, and according to her, she can also get by in Italian and Spanish. The list of stars she most frequently dubs in films is impressive, including Sandra Bullock, Jodie Foster, Kim Basinger, Sigourney Weaver, Susan Sarandon, Emma Thompson, and others.
