Baroness Blixen

A NOVEL ABOUT A WOMAN WHO LIVED A NOVEL LIFE

The story of a passionate, free-spirited woman whose name seems to be all over the world thanks to the film Memories of Africa.

Karen Blixen... the Baroness, Tania, Tanna, Titans, Isak... How many names they called her, how many faces this strange woman had. A lion huntress and an African farm mistress, monden hostess, storyteller, hot mistress, wild, an unbridled soul, a mysterious author of strange stories... That's all she was. Meryl Streep, the Hollywood star of Memories of Africa, even went to the places where Karen lived before filming so that she could transform herself into the woman she was supposed to represent.

Dominique de Saint Pern not only brings to the stage a courageous woman, perhaps even a devil, but also the voice of her most faithful guide Clara, who was her nurse, secretary and maid. It opens before us the soul of this golden age when people could still love, write and die gloriously.
