Martin Patřičný is an artist who makes beautiful things out of wood. He loves wood and talks about it in books and on the TV show Bite of Wood from a Tree. In addition, he is also the author of many feuilletons and short stories. In addition to the new ones, we have included older stories that the author has edited and partially revised. The lyrics reflect his experience, dreams and fantasies, they process unusual stories, often provoke, which is the author's intention, and, of course, they are dominated by relationships between people, love, eroticism and also humour. Some of the stories are romantic (Salt over Gold, The Little Red Riding Hood), others have unexpected themes and endings (As in Heaven), and the story Robins or Grandfathers and Girls is portrayed on the border of fantasy and reality. All the stories are united by the author's distinctive view of life, his fascination with love and women - ah! The book is accompanied by appropriate "wooden paintings".
