Consultant

After a planned merger falls through, CompWare finds itself in serious trouble, so it hires a consulting firm to review and streamline its business practices.

But there's something strange about the firm CompWare has hired. More specifically, there's something strange about the gentleman who arrives to manage the project. Mr Patoff, a tall, thin man with a bow tie and a peculiar smile that doesn't reach his eyes.

Even in the first few meetings, the consultant asks inappropriate questions here and there and is generally unnerving. He gradually usurps more and more power until it seems he's running the entire company himself. He arbitrarily introduces invasive changes to company etiquette; he places cameras throughout the building, making the employees paranoid; he calls employees in the middle of the night; he even visits some at home and threatens their families…

Those who resist are fired… or worse.

The employees soon realise they are not just fighting for their jobs: they are fighting for their lives.

The Consultant is a scathing workplace satire dressed in horror, as only Bentley Little can deliver.
