Dark Depths (SK)

Some secrets prefer to remain deeply hidden.

When Detective Chief Inspector Erika Foster receives a tip that a key piece of evidence in a major drug case could be hidden in a flooded quarry on the outskirts of London, she orders a search. From the depths, however, her colleagues bring up not only the evidence for this case, but also the skeleton of a small child.
The remains are quickly identified as Jessica Collins. A seven-year-old girl whose disappearance filled the pages of the newspapers twenty-six years ago.

Erika must begin to connect the pieces of the past to the present, delving ever deeper into the Collins family relationships and into the life of investigator Amanda Baker, who has never stopped beating herself up for not being able to solve the girl's disappearance. Erika will soon find out that this investigation is sure to be one of the most complex and challenging of her career.
Someone does not want the case to be solved. And she'll do everything she can to stop Erika's quest.
