Decameron Day Three

A classic collection of Florentine plague stories that have outlived their time

Hope, wit and love triumph over the woes of Renaissance man.
A noble company of seven ladies and three gentlemen take refuge from the plague in a country estate near Florence. In order to escape boredom and sadness, they tell each other a hundred jokey, educational, sweet and shirtless stories that have outlived their time. One of the most famous works of the Italian Renaissance shows that human nature has not changed much since the 14th century. Hope, wit and, of course, love, which sometimes takes unexpected forms, eventually triumph over the confusions and sorrows of Renaissance man. The audiobook narration of the pearl of the world classic is being continued in a masterful performance by Rudolf Pellar.
