Defence against Babiš

Pavel Šafr has managed a number of influential newspapers and magazines since 1993 and has been present at important changes that have taken place since the Velvet Revolution, not only on a societal level - he has also felt the consequences of the departure of Western publishing houses himself. Since 2013, when Andrej Babiš bought the Mafra publishing house, the owner of MF DNES and Lidové noviny has become Prime Minister. Czech society must be defended against this non-standard. The book thus tells the story of the complex journey of Czech media and politics from the attempt to build a democratic and free society to the period in which everything seems to have changed after the fall of communism.
