Dumb Girl

The fourth part of the series about police psychologist Sebastian Bergman.

A family with two young boys is brutally murdered during the Easter holidays. Sebastian Bergman and his team discover that there was probably a witness to the tragedy. It is 10-year-old Nicole, who was visiting her cousins at the time. Officers believe he's hiding in the woods. The girl has been missing for three days and her chances of survival in the wilderness are slim. The police therefore decide to ask for the public's help, even though this may alert the killer to the witness.

Bergman manages to track down the girl and they form a special bond. But Nicole is deeply traumatized and does not speak, only draws pictures. Sebastian Bergman starts working with her and finds that she reminds him more and more of his own daughter, whom he lost. Can he protect the girl from the killer?

All six volumes of the series featuring the main character, psychologist Sebastian Bergman, have sold over 5 million copies worldwide. ZDF Television, in cooperation with SVT Sweden, has produced a popular TV adaptation.
