Encyclopaedia of bishops in the Czech lands
This comprehensive publication presents the figures of individual residential bishops in Bohemia and Moravia in separate dictionary entries. It is not limited to an alphabetical list of factual data, but also acquaints the reader with the broader context from the perspective of historical realities and church history. The entries are accompanied by blazons and illustrations of the coats of arms used, with their detailed descriptions. This extraordinary encyclopaedic work covers church personalities from the historical beginnings in the 10th century to the present day. The book opens with a foreword by Mons. Jan Graubner, Archbishop of Prague and Primate of the Czech lands at the time of the book's creation, and closes with a word from Dominik Cardinal Duka.
