Eva Kosler: Marco Polo

There are a number of undocumented explanations for why Mark Polo's narrative is called The Million. This title is explained either by the great wealth of the Pol family or as evidence that the narrator often speaks of high figures. It has also been theorized that The Million was derived, like Tales of a Thousand and One Nights, from the fact that Polo's travelogue contains a million, i.e. a large number of nice stories. A radio play for young people was based on the famous travelogue. Directed by Karel Weinlich, the cast includes: Boris Rösner, Lukas Hlavica, Eduard Cupák, Věra Slunéčková, Jaroslav Konecny, Jiri Samek, Antonín Hardt, Jan Řeřicha and Mirko Musil.
