Christmas is coming and Fiškus wants to see the Christmas elf most of all. Grandpa Pettson promised the cat that the elf would definitely come to him on Christmas Eve. But how to do it? There are no Christmas elves! Or is it?

Pettson doesn't want to disappoint Fiskus, so he decides to secretly build a mechanical elf that can move and talk. However, he soon discovers what a difficult, if not impossible, task he has embarked on. But every time he wants to give up, something special happens to help him continue. Will Grandpa have time to make a mechanical elf? And what really happens on Christmas Eve?

Fisk and the Christmas Elf is the longest story in the series about the restless cat and the peculiar inventor Pettson, and is being published in Czech for the second time, almost twenty years later.
