The modern floorball handbook is an ideal aid for youth coaches, physical education teachers, as well as young floorball players and their parents. It will introduce readers to the basics of floorball and offer coaches and physical education teachers rich material for conducting training sessions through a game library.
The authors' goal is to outline theoretical principles and guidelines for training children aged 6 to 15, followed by the application of theoretical foundations in practice. The theoretical part contains information from the history of floorball, the basics of sports training, the characteristics of the given age categories, the role of the coach and a view of player development are mentioned. Furthermore, tips and principles for creating a training unit are provided, including key points for learning and implementing a training unit in the context of long-term planning. The practical part of the publication contains examples of training units for individual age categories and a stack of exercises. Expertise and quality are guaranteed by authors with many years of training experience. The book is published under the auspices of the methodological department of Czech Floorball.
