The textbook Formative Assessment in Nursery School: Educational Strategies, Methods and Tools is a publication focused on how to transform assessment into a means of supporting a child's learning. It is based on the current concept of the Framework Education Programme for Pre-school Education (FEP PE) and the theory of "assessment for learning": setting goals, success criteria, continuous feedback, working with mistakes, self-assessment and peer assessment. Emphasis is placed on collecting "evidence of learning" (portfolios, observations, work products) and its meaningful use in planning further support. The text links the concepts of expected learning outcomes (ELOs) and the educational strategies of the FEP PE with specific formative strategies and shows how to incorporate them into everyday classroom situations and the school curriculum. It includes inspiring examples of activities, model situations, simple tools (rubrics, pictograms, checklists) and recommendations for cooperation with families and team reflection. The publication is intended for students and nursery school teachers, as well as school management, who are striving for a learning culture that supports the child's autonomy, a safe environment for working with mistakes, and the visibility of progress.
