Garden of Ancient Secrets

1940. A young Dutch woman named Stasia experiences her first brutal clash with the reality of war. A girl with a fondness for writing fairy tales, who spent her childhood holidays with her grandparents in Normandy, soaking up its magical atmosphere, is suddenly left to fend for herself. She is intrinsically convinced that good must prevail and refuses to stand by helplessly as the Nazis destroy everything she holds dear. She soon works her way onto the list of the French Resistance's most wanted agents. Now, however, she returns to the old château and the mysterious garden of her childhood, where she is to carry out an almost suicidal mission…

The present day. The legend of Sleeping Beauty – a Resistance agent and the terror of enemies and traitors during the Second World War – has followed Isabelle and her sister Emilie since childhood. They spent every summer with their grandparents in Normandy, a land steeped in fairy tales and legends. Today, decades later, they are presented with an opportunity that cannot be refused. Together, they embark on the renovation of the old château and its desolate garden. In doing so, they uncover incredible secrets linked not only to the history of the place but also to their family. The sisters soon realise that not every fairy tale is a mere figment of the human imagination. But one thing is clear to them: every one should have a happy ending.
