God wills it
Czechs and Moravians on the 3rd Crusade to the Holy Land Based on historical documents and the study of sources, the author reveals a little-known chapter in the history of the Crusades - the participation of the Czech army in the Third Crusade, proclaimed by Pope Gregory VIII. in 1187. The first of the European rulers to accept the challenge was Emperor Frederick called Barbarossa, whose plan to liberate Christian Jerusalem was responded to by the then Czech ruling prince Conrad Ota II. in my own way: emptied all the dungeons and put his half-brother, Prince Deupold, at the head of the contingent.
