Guesthouse in Portugal
Escape to the sea, where love and complications begin
Rebecca needs to get out. For she was utterly embarrassed as she watched the man she had secretly loved for years walk away quietly, accompanied by another. So when the opportunity to work in a family guesthouse on the Portuguese coast comes up, she takes it without hesitation. Sun, sea and a new beginning? Sounds like a plan. What he's not expecting is Felipe Rebelo. He is charming, confident, bordering on insolent, and always ready to make a flirtatious remark that will surely throw Rebecca off. Felipe is outwardly in control of his life, but behind his easy smile is a man who has the care of his entire family on his shoulders. And the last thing he needs is another complication. But Rebecca keeps getting in his way, makes him laugh and makes it dangerously easy to fall in love with her...
Caplin Julie
Julie Caplin is the pseudonym of a British bestselling writer addicted to travel and good food. She is constantly trying to track down the perfect gin and is unhealthily picky about glasses, tonics and garnishes. In between gin tastings, she wrote the novel Cafe in Copenhagen, which launched her international success. As a PR director, she spent several years travelling the world, taking top food and drink journalists on press trips (so-called business trips) to experience the gastronomic delights of the most interesting destinations. And these places became the inspiration for the famous Romantic Escapes series: A cafe in Copenhagen, Brooklyn Bakery, A patisserie in Paris, Beach in Croatia, Hotel in Iceland, Teahouse in Tokyo, Cottage in Switzerland, A house in Ireland, Castle in Scotland, Vineyards in France, Villa in Italy, Inn in Prague and Guesthouse in Portugal. Its success was followed by the Christmas Escapes series, spiced up with a magical holiday atmosphere. It was kicked off by the novel Christmas in Manhattan, which immediately drew rave reviews. Readers could see that happiness is waiting around the corner in the author's first novel Speak to Me and the novels Escape to the Country and Summer in the Country, set in her native England.
