Hana

Hana - the third novel by a successful Czech author

If there is something that verifies the veracity of human life, then it is suffering. And if there is something that deprives life, then it is the suffering that man causes to others. But what if he's still innocent? What if it's all coincidence and man is only a helpless instrument of destiny?

It's winter in 1954, and nine-year-old Mira, despite her parents' ban, sets out on a river to ride on ice. She falls into the water, revealing her disobedience, and is punished for not getting a dessert at the family party. But the innocent childhood story is a major turning point for Mira. A tragedy follows, which for many years ties her to the infant and depressed aunt of Hana and reveals a troubled family history that continues to float with her life like an ice floe.

The story, which is based on real events, is described by Alena Mornštajnová in a thrilling pace and with a sense of drama, until the reader feels she is watching a thrilling movie. The only question is whether the flood of destiny will eventually dissolve…

"Beautiful book. Well written, one of the few Czech contemporary authors who reads well and Mrs. Morštajnová is really a writer for me. I also appreciate that the storyline is elaborate, simply, it's not the author who publishes one book each month. And in Hana, the work on the book is simply known. "

"That was incredibly written. What a person carries in life without anyone knows or suspects. The author easily linked the main storyline to the top end of the book. One of the books I will not forget for a long time. And it was written by a Czech author."

"Unreal book !!! If possible, I will give more than five stars. A very emotional story that I will not forget. "
