Berenika lives in a remote gamekeeper' s lodge in the Ore Mountains and has an extremely sensitive nature. She loves animals, protects nature, and works as a veterinary assistant. The local wild forests are a paradise for her. They absorbed themselves under her skin, imprinting their DNA into her blood cells. Berenika feels most content when she is standing on the edge of a peat bog, the Ore Mountains wind tossing her hair and as far as the eye can see, the forest spreads all around her. Moreover, the wolves that she admires so much are currently returning to the Ore Mountains. Just like her, they are fighting for their rightful living space here. It' s a shame they have so many detractors among the people. One of them is a local sheep farmer who may have more in common with Berenice than the young woman would like.
