In the gears of the winged arrow
The book is not to be missed by anyone interested in the history and present of motoring. Dramatic stories of Ing. Karel Hrdlicka and Ing. Petr Hrdlicka, CSc., father and son, who have linked their lives with the Mladá Boleslav car factory. The first became its director at the end of the 1920s (in 1941 he was almost taken away by the Gestapo and released for an hour), the second (as a child of a representative of the high bourgeoisie) started as an apprentice and ended up as director of the research and development plant AZNP Mladá Boleslav, responsible for the development of the Škoda Favorit car. Against the backdrop of the domestic social events of the 20th century, the history of the factory and the fate of one family unfolds as a sequence of incredible events. The book explains the background of known and unknown facts that have influenced the current development of the automotive industry in the Czech Republic. A gripping book that the reader won't put down
