In the service of the rose

An adventure story of friendship, courage and love in the time of the last Rosenbergs

Adam of Bojanov never desired wealth or a prominent position. As the younger son, he doesn't expect to bear the burden of family responsibility. He enjoys a carefree life alongside his friend, Petr Vok of Rosenberg.
But fate has other plans.
The weight of the Rosenberg legacy falls upon Petr Vok, and even Adam cannot escape his duties. To secure the future of his family, he must enter into a marriage he did not want.
Marriage to Eva of Křižanovice is supposed to be a sensible solution for both of them. For her, it is the only option; for him, a duty fulfilled. Does this mean the end of all hope, or is it possible to find happiness even on a path one did not choose for oneself?
