Jiří Just: Clowns and patriots
Radio play or Cabaret seminar on the essence of humour in Bohemia. The story of two comedians, each of whom reacts in his own way to the situation of national danger during the German occupation and finds his own way to stand the test of history. The year was 1982 and the text of Jiří Just's play struck the radio management of the time as an obvious parable of the communist regime. That is why the play did not premiere until after November 1989.
