Josef Koutecký-Veronika Sailerová: I stayed a boy

In the five-part reading based on the book of interviews "I Remained a Boy" we get to know Professor Josef Koutecký not only as a top expert, a doctor with strong moral and professional principles, but also as a kind person, a personality who undoubtedly inspires many of us with his life and professed values. The personality of Josef Koutecký (* 1930) is clearly associated with paediatric oncology, a field he founded and built up in our country for 40 years. He is also known to the general public as the first post-Soviet dean of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine and a founding member of the Learned Society, a member of the Council of the National Theatre and the Foundation of the National Gallery in Prague. The memoirs of this eminent physician show that it is possible to combine a high professional commitment with family and an intense interest in art.
