Karel Kludský: Life in the Manege
A reading from a book that evocatively captures the atmosphere of the great circus and its fortunes at the beginning of the century. It is a record of the story of the director of the most famous Czech circus, a testimony of the great love of the artists for their work, a testimony of their tenacity, self-denial and indomitable will. However, Kludský also paid close attention to life outside the circus. In his narrative, therefore, there are also a number of important testimonies about the society of his time, especially during the years of the First World War and the Depression. Directed by František Juřička, it reads: Zdeněk Kryzánek.
