Komorebi: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Embodiment and Expressive Therapies
Komorebi is the Japanese term for the interplay of light and shadow among the moving leaves of trees. This phenomenon—whether latent or fully manifest—weaves through the theoretical and practical chapters of this book. Movement and the awareness of constant change in our perception of the light and shadow aspects of ourselves, being rooted in physicality and presence, as well as the connection with other levels of human existence in the concept of embodiment, form Ariadne's thread in the labyrinth of approaches, methods, and theories presented in the book. The publication is intended for professionals in the fields of psychology, psychotherapy, special education, and anyone seeking inspiration in connecting the body, movement, mindfulness, creativity, and personal growth within the helping professions.
