Lake of Bones

A HORRIFIC MURDER IN A LAKESIDE HOUSE MIMICS A TWENTY-FIVE-YEAR-OLD CASE…

When FBI Special Agent Nikki Hunt is called to a crime scene at Bone Lake, she's not prepared to find a house practically painted in blood. Friends Vivienne and Libby, who were renting it, have been brutally murdered, and a third girl, Alexia, is missing. What’s more, the case seems to be a carbon copy of a crime that took place in the very same spot in the past.

The police never managed to catch the perpetrator of the original massacre. Could they be responsible for the girls' deaths? To find the answer, Nikki must track down Matt Kline, the sole survivor from twenty-five years ago. The agent immediately finds him suspicious, but he claims he hasn't been anywhere near Bone Lake for years.

On the other hand, the missing Alexia was fascinated by the old case. She owned several notebooks with notes about serial killers, and to top it all off, it looks like she was having an affair with Matt. Did Nikki make a mistake by taking her eyes off him? And can she get to the truth before it's too late for Alexia?
