Another part of a unique project by a well-known historian and popular writer, which presents life in the Czech lands from the time of the princes until the end of feudalism. The book describes the transformation of society in the 14th century.

In the third part of the series Life in the Centuries, the author presents the transformation of society in the 14th century. What was the landscape like back then? Was it different than today? And who inhabited it? What were the people of that time thinking about, what were their worries, what kind of houses did they live in? How were castles furnished and how were rural or urban dwellings furnished? What did our ancestors wear and what emphasis did they place on fashion fads? What do we learn about the moral authority of the Church in the 14th century? Not much that's nice.

After the earlier consolidation of power, there is a moral decline of a part of the clergy and with it comes a crisis. The 14th century is a time of perhaps the greatest catastrophes and social upheavals of the entire Middle Ages.
