Love in a world of odd socks

Alice likes everything to be as it should be and in perfect order. Whether it's her new apartment or the perfectly aligned pencils on her desk. The half-American, half-French woman has just arrived in France to escape a recent tragic event. But after a successful career in finance in London and New York, he finds work in Paris only at a small start-up developing an app to find lost socks.

Although a small business is undoubtedly doomed to failure, it is the only clue for Alice. And while he reminds the owner several times a day he shouldn't spend more money than he makes, he's slowly starting to think, to see if it's her and her colleagues, who her boss is trying to save, and that socks come last.

Alice's sister Scarlett was constantly reminded by her mother that her birth was unplanned and that it was her fault that the girls' father abandoned them. And so it was up to Alice to always look after her and take care of her, even when their life paths eventually diverged.

The fate of Scarlett, who eventually became a rock star but died young, is something Alice doesn't talk about and tries to keep secret.
