Mama is not a maid, Mama is a lady
A book of short essays about parenting and how to actually make it good at home. Marek Herman explores the world of young children, compares it with the view of us adults and looks for the cornerstones on which to build family well-being.
Why are there so many spoiled children today, why don't they listen and why do their parents endlessly give in? The author also focuses on the position of the mother in today's family, a line that connects the whole book. Why do moms make maids for their kids at home? Why are they always angry and stressed? Why do they even make maids for their partners? What about it?
The author's writing style follows his two successful books "Find Your Martian" and "Are You There, Brother?". Here, too, he actually talks to the reader: makes him stop, think about himself, his life and his family. So why do we have a family? What do we have the kids for anyway? And is it even okay to educate in today's world? Can we still rely on our common sense? Or is it all irretrievably gone?
