Milena Mathaus: Shards of Anxiety
How do you find your footing again if you lose all your current security in one week? Radio play: Shards of Anxiety starring Gabriela Vránová. Forty-year-old Magda leads a hectic but happy work and family life. But then a phone call comes from the nursing home about the death of Magda's mother and this event triggers a storm that shakes all the existing certainties from the ground up. It is only after her mother's death that Magda learns the truth about her origins, and this is far from the only new reality she will have to accept in a short time. The script of the radio play Shards of Anxiety was awarded in the Czechoslovak Radio competition announced in 1985. The play was dramaturgically prepared by Pavel Minks, directed by the experienced Jana Bezdíčková, who entrusted the main role to Gabriela Vránová. Together with her, the production features other outstanding actors: František Němec, Viktor Preiss, Ladislav Mrkvička, Antonia Hegerlik, Jiri Ornest, Veronika Žilková and others.
