Mimic

Will Hanna be able to uncover the real killer or is it her?

It only takes a tiny twitch at the corner of her mouth, a slight change in her pupil, to read the thoughts of the accused. Hanna Herbst is the most experienced expert in mimic resonance, specializing in the secret signals of the human body. As a police consultant, she has helped convict a number of violent criminals.

Hanna faces a difficult task - she must quickly analyse a video in which she confesses to murdering her family. She made the video before the operation because she knew that the anaesthetic would cause temporary memory loss. She has no idea why she confessed to the murder, but she wants to find out the truth. Step by step, she uncovers the full extent of the disaster and confronts the knowledge gained with her memories that gradually emerge from her returning memory. A friend turns out to be an enemy, but with Fitzek we never know how it really is.
