After their mother's disappearance, Kryštof and Ida are left alone, and their world begins to fall apart. The city relentlessly shrinks around them, with fewer and fewer places they are allowed to go. Kryštof does everything he can to protect his sister and maintain a semblance of normality. But you can't live forever in the timelessness of childhood, where neither age nor era matters.
Moths is a story about sibling love, growing up, and the desire to secure a better life – whatever that may mean. A world full of nameless people, in a time that seemingly doesn't affect the characters, suddenly takes on concrete outlines, which are sometimes more terrifying than the dark. And so, they have no choice but to find their way towards the light, just as moths do.
