Never walk in Armenia and Georgia again
One pilgrim, hundreds of kilometres and hectolitres of vodka
After a pair of bestsellers, Ladislav Zibura comes up with a new adventure - this time he travels to Armenia, Georgia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
Prince Ládík wanders through the most backward villages to listen to the stories of the locals and gain some of their wisdom. Alcohol flows and the young adventurer gets to know a culture full of hospitality, strong words and nostalgia for Soviet times. Zibura recounts his experiences from his Caucasian travels with humour and irony, for which he has gained popularity not only among fans of travelogues. Whether he's lost in the mountains, battling the weather, or accidentally eating a grilled hedgehog, he takes it all in stride.
Zibur's story is a testament to the charm of freedom and the ease of life on the road. What it's about: A young pilgrim sets out on foot to explore the Caucasus. He expects an easy trip, but the situation soon gets out of hand. Who can I buy it for: To all fans of travel, engaging stories and humour. What's not to like: Joke, adventure, lots of pictures and short text. How it ends: He'll survive and hitchhike home.
They wrote about Ladislav Zibury's books
"The plus side of his books is the graphic design and the absolutely stunning cover. You won't find any photographs from the trips in the travelogue, but something much better - beautiful illustrations by the duo Tomski&Polanski, which have raised the book a bit higher. "

"Zibura knows how to tell his stories with laughter, whether it's a strenuous trek into the Himalayas, where altitude sickness tried to take him, whether he's being arrested by the police or trying to reason with the Chinese, who don't speak foreign languages, or saving lives right now. Other times, they realize the fragility of human freedom... "

Ladislav Zibura
He has travelled on foot to the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem, he has also been on foot to Santiago de Compostela and Rome, and he has cycled to the North Sea and back. Ladislav is one of those special people you either love or hate. On Facebook, he made pilgrimage and himself famous with his quirky humour, and the Budějovický Majáles festival with its banner campaign. Although Ladislav loves company and people, he has been spending every summer in solitude for 4 years. Outside of Jerusalem, he walked to Santiago de Compostela and Rome, then cycled to the North Sea and back. When he invited his friends from Brno to a café for a screening of photos from his travels, 2400 people signed up. And so, at the age of 22, he decided to make his dream come true - to travel around the country and allow thousands of people to join him on a spectacular journey full of incredible experiences in one evening.
