On the second try

Throw away fear and let yourself be carried away by pleasure.
How hard can it be?

I met Tristan Miles at a meeting where he was trying to take over a media company - my inheritance from my late husband. Tristan is rich, powerful - and also arrogant and completely insufferable. I hate him with every cell in my body! Then why the hell is he so incredibly attractive?!

Just three days after the meeting, he called me unexpectedly - and asked me out! Of course, I'd rather die than meet a guy like him. Although I have to admit, it did tickle my ego. Especially the moment I turned him down!

But now, six months later, I went to a conference in France, and what the hell - one of the speakers is him. Horrible, disgusting, smug Tristan Miles!

Except that so far he's neither horrible, disgusting nor smug. On the contrary, he is surprisingly charming and funny, and when he looks at me, despite my beliefs, I shudder...

But I'm not going to be taken in by it. He's just a womanizer in an ironed suit.
And I'm just a widow with three unruly boys around my neck...
God, let's get this conference over with!

Because everyone knows that Tristan Miles always gets what he wants - and right now he wanted me!
