SAMURAI
Inspired by a real Japanese actor
Miyamoto Musashi is the protagonist of Onimusha: Way of the Sword PC. A young, determined and fiery samurai, he arrives in Kyoto with a single goal: to prove that he has no equal in the art of swordsmanship. His path to glory, however, soon takes an unexpected turn, full of dark trials, supernatural forces and internal dilemmas. Capcom brought this character to life not only through the story and game mechanics, but also visually, with Musashi's face inspired by the legendary Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune, an icon of samurai cinema. As a result, Musashi appears not only as an relentless warrior, but also as a tribute to the classic Japanese hero whose strength is as great as his honour.
DEMONS
The Genma are created to kill and devour all living things
The Genma are terrifying demons from the depths of hell, brought into the world of the living by a dark miasma enveloping Kyoto. This otherworldly evil has torn the boundary between life and death, allowing demons to flood the streets of the once peaceful city. Their presence has brought only pain and fear, and massacres, attacks and constant threats have turned Kyoto into a nightmare. Among these beasts, the Hitotsume-Gumo stand out – one-eyed demons who attack in packs, armed and without mercy. Whether they wield a sword, fire arrows or take cover behind a shield, their only goal is to kill and devour all living things. They are driven by purely primitive instincts, with no emotion, no purpose other than the desire to spread death.
GAUNTLET
A soul-devouring artefact
The action in Onimusha: Way of the Sword PC revolves around Musashi and his mysterious Oni Gauntlet, an artefact that grants him superhuman strength and makes him the terror of the demonic Genma. The gauntlet is a tool of destruction, but also the key to a deeper understanding of the dark force that is bearing down on the world of men. It allows him to absorb the souls of defeated enemies, which not only enhances Musashi's abilities, but also reveals something far more sinister. With each soul absorbed, a mysterious voice seems to be released from the gauntlet—whispering, urgent, perhaps even a warning. Who or what is speaking to him? Is it a guide, a curse, or perhaps the voice of the Oni itself? This question runs through the entire game.
KYOTO
The spiritual purity of Japan in darkness
The scenery in Onimusha: Way of the Sword PC plays a key role in building the atmosphere of the whole game. The story takes place in historic Kyoto, a city famous for its beautiful shrines and temples, of which the iconic Kiyomizu-dera is one of the visual and symbolic highlights. However, in the game, this spiritual centre of Japan has been transformed into a dark and terrifying place infested with a miasma that, like a poison, is corrupting not only the streets and buildings, but also human souls themselves. Famous monuments turn to ruins, sacred spaces are desecrated, and a sense of unease radiates from the natural beauty. Every step through the streets of Kyoto is accompanied by a chilling uncertainty; a Genma, or something even worse, could be lurking around the corner. The contrast between the spiritual purity of traditional Japan and its sudden fall into darkness creates a powerful and visually impressive setting.

The purchased product key must be activated in Steam:
