Poet of Death

Will McEvoy be able to find out who is behind the cop killings?

Journalist Jack McEvoy is a specialist in death. On the pages of the Rocky Mountain News, he writes about crimes. He is convinced that he has encountered every kind of violence in his work. His professional approach is shattered by the shocking suicide of his brother, a homicide detective. Jack knows that his brother was working on a case that he couldn't solve. He seeks to calm himself by writing an article about suicides by police officers. But the very first lines plunge him into a case in which he is about to become the target of a mad killer himself.

Michael Connelly is a master at keeping the momentum of the story and the denouement unexpected. He was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for his journalism and received the 1997 Anthony Award for Best Novel for his book Death Poet.
