Introductory tantric practices are not an obstacle course that we must overcome to get somewhere. They are an immensely rich set of practices designed to refine and develop the student's psychic foundation. They bring spiritual experiences and remove the problems and obstacles that we often have to face on this path.
In his book Preparing for Tantra, Rob Preece describes his personal experiences of tantric practice and offers many insights he has gained as a meditation teacher and psychotherapist, while also showing the spiritual and transformative significance of the introductory practices from a psychological perspective. He focuses on each of them in detail, showing how they can be used to heal and transform psychological trauma, and also offers practical ways of incorporating them into everyday life.
