A gripping story about the power of words and the transformation of personality under the pressure of ideology
A rediscovered classic of American literature, which has not lost its power even after almost eighty years since its first publication. The novella, in letters between an American art dealer and his former companion who returns to interwar Germany from the USA, is not only a reminder of the crimes committed in the name of Nazi ideology, but also a still relevant warning against racism, nationalism and intolerance in general. This gripping story about the power of words and the transformation of personality under the pressure of ideology will take you an hour to listen to, but will reverberate in your mind long afterwards.
They wrote about Address Unknown
"The most powerful account of Nazism ever to appear in fiction."
The New York Times Book Review
