We live in an age where money and wealth are no longer enough; social status is now gained by those who have taste and education. Etiquette opens doors to the wider world, and savoir-vivre (knowing how to live) is the goal. Today's children and young people are more a reflection of their times than of their parents. Etiquette offers us answers and solutions. The book is intended for parents with children, young people, and business professionals. The author sensitively guides us through the world of etiquette, teaching us the fundamental rules of social conduct in various situations and across continents. PhDr. Ľubomír JANČOK, PhD. (1982, Veľké Rovné) is a graduate of doctoral studies at the Sorbonne in Paris and Comenius University in Bratislava. He studied French language and pedagogy, diplomacy and international relations, and literary science. He has lectured in Canada, Greece, Italy, and Romania. He runs etiquette courses in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. In 5 years, he has trained almost 6,000 pupils from dozens of schools and 5,500 adults. He owns the travel agency Monte Christo. He is a laureate of the Comenius University Rector's Award, the City of Reims Award, and the French Parliament Award. He has published several books inspired by French culture and way of life: Glamour of Paris, The French Paradox, Different but Still Close, and Life at the Sorbonne – The Education of Elites in France, which has also been published in a Czech translation.
