Maggie and Frank have been married for forty years. They loved each other from the first moment they met. Their life together was full of joy, words and laughter. They have had some difficult times, but their relationship has always been strong and unbreakable. The bond between them was exceptional. But that was true only until silence fell.
Now Maggie and Frank aren't talking. They cook their meals, share a bed, but live without words. Frank stopped talking six months ago and Maggie and no one else has been able to talk him out of it again. The weight of his secret divided them – created an unbridgeable gap between them. And Maggie has hit rock bottom.
When Frank finds her unconscious and an empty medicine container next to her, his fragile world crumbles. The ambulance takes Maggie to the hospital where she is put into an artificial sleep from which she may never wake up. Frank dare not leave her. He stays by her side – and only then does he speak again.
He begins to tell his story. The words he has been holding back for so long are finally released, revealing that even noble motives can lead to bad things.
