Sour candies

At first glance, Phil Pendleton and Adam are a father and son who are no different from any other. They go for walks in the park together, visit exhibitions, museums and zoos. Some might say that the father is too free in his upbringing when the child loses his temper in public and starts screaming hysterically. Some might say that he spoils his son by allowing him to eat sweets whenever he wants. Some might say that such leniency is beginning to take its toll on the father, given his deteriorating health. But no one knows that Phil is a prisoner and that he has never seen Adam in his life until a chance encounter in a grocery store a few weeks ago.
