For almost ten years, František Smolík has been separated from his family by the barbed wire of a prison. I was born on 27 September 1987 in Ústí nad Labem. I also spent the first years of my life there and later I returned to my grandparents' house in Ústí nad Labem - Skorotice for weekends and holidays whenever I could. I had a wonderful childhood here. Later we moved to Chomutov, another fateful city for my life. His literary debut, Cottages (2020), received a huge response from readers and became a bestseller upon publication. In 2021, his social novel Nebe na Perninkem was published, and in 2022, the first part of the novel trilogy Sudeten House was published.
