The courage to be free

Book-length interview with leading Czech philosopher Jan Sokol

Is freedom a boundless plain where you can do whatever you want?
How do politics and religion relate to each other? And what does it mean to be a member of civil society?
Philosophy has always asked countless questions – and Jan Sokol's life was no different.

Set off across 16 chapters to explore the life and thoughts of an acclaimed philosopher and university pedagogue, who ponders the great themes of our civilisation with the ease and precision of a goldsmith.
