The dog who followed the stars

Ingrid lives a pleasant life with her adored golden retriever, Roshi. After years of never leaving her small town in colourado, she accepts an invitation to spend the Independence Day celebrations with her brother in Virginia. However, the fireworks frighten Roshi, causing him to run away. After being attacked by a pack of wild dogs, he becomes completely lost.

A desperate Ingrid is forced to return home to colourado. But Roshi isn't ready to give up and sets off on an odyssey across several states, determined to return to his owner.

On his long journey, Roshi lives up to his name, which means abbot of a Zen monastery, and takes on the role of a Zen master wherever he stops. While searching for his way back, he is cared for by several families and solitary souls, whose lives he forever changes with his incredible intelligence and kindness.

Where will Roshi's journey end?
