The Fellowship of the Fortress

The masters of Czech fantasy have come together to form the Fellowship of Pevnost. Seven hundred pages filled with swords, magic, heroes, villains, beasts and legends…
A representative collection of short stories that appeared in Pevnost magazine during the first eleven years of its existence.
Inside this book, you'll find tales from such excellent storytellers as Miroslav Žamboch, Juraj Červenák, Petra Neomillnerová, Vladimír Šlechta and Jiří Walker Procházka. And that’s just a few names from the host of authors who left an indelible mark on Pevnost, and for whom the magazine, in turn, became dear to their hearts. Even if most of them try to act like world-weary tough guys…

So don’t hesitate to accept this invitation for a wild ride through the worlds of Czech speculative fiction, where you'll have a unique opportunity to meet fearless heroes who wear their swords damn low, as well as tough guys clad in leather with disgustingly large guns in their holsters, or women whose charms you could only dream of. And that’s not counting all the villains, beasts, and demons that would make even Darth Vader cry with fear.

But you don’t have to be afraid. You’re holding the best of Pevnost in your hands!
